NMAT Admit Card 2019 - 2020/ Hall Ticket- Download

NMAT which will take place in May. Candidates can see the exam pattern in this column. The entrance exam will consist of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) types. Entrance paper will test the English language prociency, Comprehension skills and Current Aair and General and Legal Awareness of the Candidate. There is a provision for negative marking. Every incorrect attempt will deduct ¼ of the marks allotted for that question. The expected diculty of the exam will be easy to moderate. There will be a total of 120 questions designed to test the above-mentioned skills of the candidate. For exact details and marking scheme. Showing Steps How to Download NMAT Admit Card / NMAT Hall Ticket

  1. Download your Admit Card from your NMAT user account.
  2. Do not wait for any hard copy of Admit card as it will not be sent
  3. Take print of the admit card and affix your photograph on it in the given space
  4. Must carry the Admit Card to exam centre as it is the mandatory document to appear in the exam
  5. You can download your Admit Card from your dashboard only after the payment of Application fee is realized.
  6. It is mandatory for candidates to carry their admit card along with supporting documents to be able to appear for the exam. Not doing so will nullify their candidature.
  7. Candidates must ensure that they upload their recent photograph according to the specifications on the website.
  8. The admit card can be printed only after the application fee is realized by GMAC.
  9. The test administrator in charge will sign and stamp each candidate’s admit card. The same needs to be done in each attempt on the same admit card.
  10. Candidates must note that they may or may not be allotted the same exam centre for their retakes.

The NMATby GMAC is an entrance test for admission to NMIMS and other B-schools. GMAC (The Graduate Management Admission Council) is a worldwide non-profit organisation which is engaged in mentoring graduate business colleges around the globe. GMAC is the proprietor and director of the GMAT and NMAT exams. NMAT by GMAC is a national-level MBA placement test for admission to prestigious Business Schools. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Alliance University, SRM University, BML Munjal University, VIT University, ICFAI Business School (IBS), Ansal University, are some renowned business schools to name a few which accepts NMAT 2019 score for their admissions.

  1. Admit Card is a document containing your registration details and photograph. 
  2. In order to take the NMAT by GMAC exam, you are required to produce the Admit Card along with other necessary documents on the day of the test.
  3. The aspired candidates can upload their photographs as per the specification (sizes) detailed in the registration website
  4. You will be able to print your Admit Card with photograph after the payment is accepted by GMAC.
  5. You will be required to carry the Admit Card to the test centre and get it signed by the test administrator at the designated place on the day of the test.
  6. If you are opting to retake the exam you must retain the ‘same’ Admit Card that you carried for the first / previous attempt (signed and stamped by the test administrator). You will be required to produce the ‘same’ Admit Card and will have to get it signed and stamped at the test centre where you appear, for you to retake the exam. Please note you may or may not get the same test centre as allotted to you for your previous attempt(s).

Candidates must carefully check the NMAT 2019 - 2020 admit card before going for the examination. Any discrepancies found in the admit card they may be reported GMAC.

NMAT Syllabus

NMAT Syllabus with three major sections on English Language, Quaint and Logical Reasoning is revamped with different type of questions appearing in each exam. GMAC releases every year the changes in  syllabus with test taking strategy and expected type of questions in the exam as per the exam syllabus.

Accordingly, the topics for Exam syllabus go on changing and there are many topics in syllabus  on which questions, which did not appear earlier, may appear again this year. With effect from 2015 the exam syllabus has seen consistent changes. Recently, GMAC has also released the preparation guide in accordance with the changed exam syllabus.

Language Skills Syllabus

The Language Skills section in Syllabus by GMAC exam covers the topics to test Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability and  English Language Skills. The Language Skills section as per the syllabus will test you on the following major topics spread in three broad segments:
  1. Vocabulary
  2. Grammar
  3. Comprehension

Reading Comprehension

Syllabus for exam on Language Skills is well defined. There will be 32 questions in the Language Skills section. You need to attempt this section in 22 minutes. Language Skills syllabus for exam will have questions on all three areas of English—vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. Manage your time carefully. You have an average of 40 seconds per question, but you will need some more time while attempting Reading Comprehension questions. Your target should be 30 seconds each for the rest of the questions, which will give you around 10-11 minutes to attempt the 7-8 Reading Comprehension questions that will appear on the test. Ensure that you practice variety of questions in sufficient number to get your timing correct. It is particularly important for grammar questions as you will need to remember the important grammar rules. Identify and strengthen your weak areas by maintaining an error sheet.

Improve your Reading comprehension as well as vocabulary. To cover this, start reading well-written books, or a good newspaper, every day. Ensure special attention to the Editorial section of newspapers as it has the most enriching vocabulary. Improve your vocabulary and write down any new word you come across while reading the newspaper and go through it every day. Learn the word usage. Do not assume the things and avoid using the real-world knowledge on RC based questions.

Syllabus: Logical Reasoning Questions covered in the Exam Syllabus for this section are based on Analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, critical reasoning, series completion in NMAT by GMAC.  Syllabus on Logical Reasoning section is designed to measure your ability to comprehend and synthesise the information given in the question, without looking for or checking the truth or accuracy of that information. 

The questions based on Exam Syllabus topics in this section will be asked to draw inferences from the statements, choose between strong and weak arguments, identify assumptions implicit within innocuous-looking statements and even arrive at decisions in light of the given information.

You are also required to use your logical thinking skills on questions that require you to decode both numerical and visual patterns and series; make sense of relationships and understand directions. While preparing as per the Syllabus, to crack Logical Reasoning questions, you should focus only on the information given to you and should not use any of your own knowledge, experiences or presumptions to impact your judgment.
