The National Institute of Open Schooling NIOS Date Sheet Class 10 (X) and Class 12 (XII)

National Institute of Open Schooling is the Board for the open school education in India. It was founded in the year 1989 in Delhi. It was constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), India in accordance of National Policy of Education 1986. The NIOS board organize the Secondary and Senior Secondary exams every year. 

NIOS 10th & 12th Date sheet  Exams

All the Practical Examinations will be held at their respective AIs (Study Centre) where candidates enrolled during his/her admission unless otherwise (cancelled/non functional A.Is) notified by the concerned Regional Centre.

Practical Examination will be conducted as per the above schedule. Since practical examination are being conducted in small batches, students / candidate are advised to contact the Centre Superintendent/Coordinator of AIs well in advance of the commencement of the practical exam. to know  specified dates as well as batch allotted to them.

For Practical Examinations, the candidates at AIs will be divided in required number of batches according to the capacity of the laboratory and consultation with the Examiner(s) concerned by the Superintendent/Coordinator of the Centre/AIs.

The result of examination is likely to be declared in 6 weeks after the last date of the examination No inquiries about the actual date of declaration of result will be attended to. The result will be available on the NIOS website www.nios.ac.in

The NIOS board conducts examination for the 10th and 12th classes in the month of April and October. The board has been providing the facility of on-demand examination other than the regular ones. This is a boon to the students who cannot appear for the regular exams held during the year. The NIOS Board also gives the facility of supplementary exams for the students who have failed in the exams held in the month of March. The results are declared online

NIOS 10th class exam

The Board holds the NIOS 10th class exam every year in the month of March. The Board would be releasing the date sheet for NIOS 10th class exam.

NIOS 10th class exams were held in March while the date sheet for the exam was announced few months prior. Students can get the results through SMS by texting their roll number and more likely results to be released in the month of June. Around 3 lakh students appeared for NIOS examinations in March.

The Mark-Sheet, Provisional Certificate and Migration-cum-Transfer Certificate will be issued to the successful candidates by Post by the Regional Centre. In case of candidates whose required subjects are yet to be cleared for certification will receive the mark-sheet only.



There will be no change in the dates of the examinations.

The Practical examination will be conducted at their respective Accredited Institute (AIs) of NIOS. For details contact your AIs/ Regional Centre in advance.

National Institute of Open Schooling is One of the Largest board of the World in terms of enrollments. NIOS is a Government Board which operates under HRD Ministry Government of India. The students of NIOS are Eligible to take admission in any college or course or University in India or abroad. The students of NIOS are also eligible for any Government job.

Choice of Medium of Instructions:
NIOS offers its courses mainly in English, Hindi and Urdu mediums.
Secondary Course: At Secondary level, the course is offered in Regional Mediums also besides these mediums. The choice of medium is also available in Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam and Oriya in addition to English, Hindi and Urdu mediums. The learner is free to choose any one of these mediums for studies.

Sr.Secondary Course: At Sr.Secondary level, the course is offered only English, Hindi and Urdu mediums. The learner is free to choose any one of these mediums for studies.

Medium For Examination: The question paper is bilinual (Hindi & English) in Secondary and Sr.Secondary for learners opted for Hindi/English medium of study. However, learners are free to write their answer in any of the scheduled language. This instructions are also given in the examination instructions of Answer Sheet. For learners opted for Regional mediums or Urdu as medium of study, they will get the question paper in the respective medium only.

G) Study Materials:
Study Materials are supplied by New Delhi office.
Study materials are supplied at the address of the candidates.
Candidates must check the study material from their post office if not received within 30-45 days from their registration.
